Privacy Policy — AutoChat
This policy explains how AutoChat processes information when a business connects its Facebook Page and Messenger services.
Last updated: August 30, 2026
Who controls your information
The organization operating this AutoChat deployment is responsible for the information processed through it. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to privacy@checkcas.com.
Information we process
Depending on how you interact with a connected Facebook Page, AutoChat may process:
- Facebook Page identifiers and Page integration settings;
- platform-scoped sender and recipient identifiers supplied by Meta;
- messages, comments, postbacks, and related event identifiers and timestamps;
- contact, conversation, and message records created from authorized interactions; and
- limited technical, delivery, diagnostic, and security records.
AutoChat administrators provide account details, connected Page settings, and credentials required to operate the service. Page access tokens and other secrets are kept server-side.
How we use information
We use information to:
- receive authorized Page and Messenger webhook events;
- store contact, conversation, message, and event records;
- send replies through Meta APIs when an authorized administrator or configured feature requests one;
- let an authorized administrator review connected Pages and interaction records;
- diagnose failures, prevent abuse, and maintain service security; and
- comply with applicable law and Meta Platform terms and policies.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use Messenger content for unrelated advertising or data-broker profiles.
Meta data and third-party services
AutoChat accesses information from Meta only for permissions and features authorized by the connected business and Meta. Use of that information is subject to applicable Meta Platform terms and policies. AutoChat is not affiliated with or endorsed by Meta. Facebook and Messenger are third-party services governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
Personal information is not sold. Information may be processed by infrastructure providers only as needed to host and operate AutoChat, or disclosed when legally required.
Retention and security
Information is retained only as long as reasonably necessary to provide and secure the service, meet legal obligations, or address a valid deletion request, subject to legitimate retention requirements. The operator uses access controls, server-side secret handling, and other reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. No system can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
Where applicable, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information by contacting privacy@checkcas.com. You may also stop messaging the connected Page or use Facebook's controls to manage the Page interaction.
To request deletion, follow the AutoChat data-deletion instructions. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as AutoChat changes or legal requirements evolve. Material changes will be reflected here with a new update date.
